Adventure Roulette (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Adventure Roulette mobile application and website at https://adventureroulette.co(collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our Service. By using Adventure Roulette, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password.
- Profile preferences: Budget tier, group size, adventure mode preferences, and dietary restrictions you choose to set.
- Business information (partners only): Business name, address, contact details, and billing information provided during partner onboarding.
- Communications: Messages or requests you send to our support team.
Information Collected Automatically
- Location data: With your permission, we collect your device location to show nearby businesses and experiences. You can disable this in your device settings at any time.
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, app version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: Adventure modes selected, businesses viewed, session activity, and features used within the app.
- Push notification token: If you enable push notifications, we store your device token to deliver notifications about group adventures and app updates.
- Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited on our website, and timestamps.
Information from Third Parties
- Authentication providers: If you sign in using Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from that provider.
- Payment processors: Stripe processes all payments. We receive confirmation of payment status but do not store your full card number or banking details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display nearby businesses and experiences relevant to your selected adventure mode, budget, and group size
- Enable Group Adventure sessions and real-time participant sync
- Send push notifications about your group adventures (only with your permission)
- Save your adventure history to your profile
- Process payments and send billing invoices to business partners
- Improve the accuracy of our recommendations and the performance of the app
- Respond to support requests and communicate service updates
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertising.
3. How We Share Your Information
Service Providers
We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the Service:
- Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure
- Stripe — payment processing for business partners
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Expo / EAS — app build and over-the-air update delivery
- Vercel — web hosting
- Cloudflare — DNS and content delivery
These providers are contractually obligated to use your data only to perform services for us.
Group Adventures
When you join a Group Adventure session, your display name and participation status are visible to other members of that session. No other personal information is shared with other users.
Partner Businesses
We share aggregated, anonymized usage data with partner businesses (such as total visit counts and average group sizes). We never share your name, email address, or any personally identifying information with partner businesses.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Adventure Roulette, our users, or the public.
Business Transfers
If Adventure Roulette is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Location Data
Adventure Roulette requests access to your device location (“while using the app”) to find nearby businesses and experiences. We use your location only to power in-app recommendations and do not share precise location data with third parties or maintain a history of your locations beyond what is necessary for the current session.
You can revoke location access at any time through your device settings. Without location access, the app cannot show nearby businesses, but all other features will continue to work.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons (such as billing records, which we retain for 7 years per standard accounting requirements).
6. Data Security
We protect your information using industry-standard security practices, including:
- TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data
- Secure, hashed password storage via Supabase Auth
- Restricted access to production systems and credentials
No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at privacy@adventureroulette.co.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Account Information
You can update your profile, preferences, and notification settings within the app. To delete your account, go to Profile → Settings or contact us at privacy@adventureroulette.co.
Push Notifications
You can enable or disable push notifications through your device settings at any time. iOS: Settings → Notifications → Adventure Roulette. Android: Settings → Apps → Adventure Roulette → Notifications.
Location Access
You can revoke location access at any time. iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Adventure Roulette. Android: Settings → Apps → Adventure Roulette → Permissions → Location.
Data Access and Deletion
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or request its deletion, by emailing privacy@adventureroulette.co. We will respond within 30 days.
California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@adventureroulette.co.
8. Children’s Privacy
Adventure Roulette is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us at privacy@adventureroulette.co and we will delete it promptly.
9. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
10. International Users
Adventure Roulette is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
